Mountain View Hospital Employees Vote to Join SEIU Nevada, Local 1107

SEIU Nevada welcomes the Service and Technical Employees at Mountain View Hospital who won their election to join SEIU Nevada! 

Mountain View is the last of the three Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) owned Las Vegas properties to join SEIU.

In their campaign, workers highlighted the need for a stronger voice in patient care decisions and for an opportunity to bargain for improvements in scheduling, retirement, and other benefits.

“I voted yes to SEIU Nevada so that we’d have a voice in patient care,” said Judy Wenzek, Respiratory Therapist.

Employees in the unit represent support and ancillary staff at the hospital, including laboratory and respiratory technicians, housekeeping, admitting staff, Certified Nurses Aides (CNAs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and more.  They join employees from 11 other hospitals in the Valley, already united in SEIU Nevada.
